Barrie Center staff provide free training and education on child abuse related topics to the community and to child abuse professionals through our Pinwheels for Prevention program. The burden of prevention and protection belongs to adults who are responsible for the health and safety of children. Therefore, we train adults and those who work in community organizations to recognize potential opportunities for abuse. This prevention program will benefit both children and adults as we aim to continually create communities where children can thrive.
Our Mandatory Reporter Training provides the information you need to help a child in crisis due to suspected child abuse or neglect. This training is FREE to any business or organization that works with children in any capacity (schools, daycare centers, churches, medical offices, youth serving organizations, sport organizations, etc.)
If you are interested in scheduling a Mandatory Reporter Training for your business or organization, please reach out to our Community Outreach Advocate, Robyn, at robyn@barriecenter.org or 256-543-1319.

This program is funded by Children's Trust Fund through the Alabama Department of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention
