Thank you everyone for making our Second Annual Pinwheels for Prevention Awareness Campaign a HUGE success!
In April 2025, in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, more than 10,000 bright blue pinwheels were proudly displayed across Etowah County. Each pinwheel served as a symbol of hope and healing, representing the happy, healthy childhoods that all children deserve. Thanks to the incredible support from our community, partners, and local businesses, we were able to spark meaningful conversations and bring attention to the importance of protecting children.
We are so grateful for the overwhelming support from our local hospitals, banks, restaurants, law offices, medical and dental practices, realtors, insurance agencies, pharmacies, civic groups, and COUNTLESS other businesses, organizations, and individuals that joined is in raising awareness of child abuse in our community.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the municipalities of Gadsden, Rainbow City, Southside, Attalla, Hokes Bluff, and Glencoe, as well as Gadsden State Community College, EtowaH County Schools, Gadsden City Schools, and Attalla City Schools for supporting this outreach and for their continued partnership with the Barrie Center.
We can't wait to do it all again in 2026!
